In 2013 the Parish Council decided to form a Neighbourhood Plan. This is part of the Localism Act that has aimed to devolve power back to local communities. Since then, Fillongley residents and Fillongley Parish Council have been working on a Neighbourhood Plan.
This is a vision of how we would like our village to develop between now and 2034 which runs in parallel with North Warwickshire Borough Councils‘ future planning. If, following the consultation, amendments, validation and referendum, it is voted FOR, it will become planning law for our Parish.
The document is 24 pages and can be viewed by clicking the icon above. If you would like to view a paper copy please contact the Clerk to arrange this.
The law states that, at this stage, we must consult for a period of six weeks. We would welcome your comments and suggestions regarding the proposals to the Clerk (contact details above) by Thursday 18th June 2017.
Following this, there may be revisions and amendments and everyone who responds to this consultation will be re-consulted on the revisions by NWBC.
Then, there will be a referendum as to whether or not you agree; this is just the first stage towards adopting the plan.
